ART CAMP MALTA, OCTOBER 2015
The launching press conference at San Anton Palace, Attard, addressed by H.E. Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, the President of Malta, Madame Hedva Ser, UNESCO Artist for Peace, Mr Jean-Michel Armengol from the Andorra National Commission to UNESCO, Mr Kevin Sciberras from the Educational, Science and Cultural Centre (Malta) and Mrs Deborah Agius from the Ministry for Gozo.
‘Art Camp Malta’ is an initiative organized by the Office of the Permanent Delegation of Malta to UNESCO through the Centre of Education, Science and Culture, at the end of October and the beginning of November 2015.
This initiative follows similar ones organized every two years by the National Commission of UNESCO in Andorra.
It will bring together a number of established artists from the Mediterranean region, who, in the light of the current international affairs of instability and lack of peace, will work together, exchange ideas and understand each other, while using art as a common medium of communication, building bridges for Peace.
Art Camp est un vrai laboratoire pour la paix. Ce ne sont pas des paroles qui réunissent des Artistes,
mais de vrais actes qui forment une passerelle d'espoir pour l'entente et l'amitié entre les peuples.
Since 2012, Madame Hedva Ser, UNESCO Artist for Peace, has been the Godmother of the project.
